Office Spatial Design
1 Hour
The nature of office work is highly sedentary, with many office workers spending more than 80% of their work time sitting down. These high levels of sedentary time may be contributing to increased risk of chronic disease.
This webinar will outline recent evidence on the detrimental health effects of too much sitting, and the role of the workplace spatial environment and sociocultural environment in promoting (or inhibiting) more movement and co-worker interactions throughout the working day. It will also provide information about a series of resources available to workplaces seeking to make changes to their physical and cultural environment to promote sitting less and moving more for their staff.
