Course Description
This session will introduce issues relating to developing dementia whilst working, especially people who are younger. It will include a discussion on the challenges and implications for individuals of gaining a diagnosis, negotiating accommodations, and relationships with co-workers. Additionally, it will address the challenges and implications for employers to support and accommodate individuals with dementia
Learning outcomes:
- Become aware of some of the challenges of dementia in the workplace
- Understand the definition of young onset dementia
- Learn about potential accommodations for dementia in the workplace
