Dr. Tyler Amell

Dr. Tyler Amell is an internationally recognized thought leader on the topic of workplace health and productivity. When he is not speaking at events around the world, he is a trusted advisor to organizations, including insurers, service providers, and employers, on strategic and integrated workplace health and productivity. He specializes in the areas of health and wellbeing technology, data analytics, occupational epidemiology, absence and leave management, STD, LTD, occupational rehabilitation, disability management and disability prevention, workers’ compensation, mental health, musculoskeletal health, chronic disease, wellness & wellbeing, medical assessment, and health & safety. Dr. Amell is Chief Health and Strategy Officer at MediKeeper. He is also an Adjunct Faculty at Pacific Coast University for Workplace Health Sciences and Faculty Lead for Work and the Workplace. He has given seminars and presentations at over 250 events. He also serves on the Executive Board of Directors of the National Wellness Institute, the Work Wellness Institute, and in the past the Canadian Association for Research on Work and Health (CARWH), and the Integrated Benefits Institute (IBI). He is a past CRO/CHO at a wellness technology company, a Partner/Vice President at a global HR consulting & technology company, CEO of a HR technology company, and Vice President of a large Healthcare and Rehabilitation company. Dr. Amell has recently contributed to events and publications of the AMJHP, IBI, Art & Science of Health Promotion, HERO, the Disability Management Employers Coalition (DMEC), the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP), Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), the Conference Board of Canada, the Occupational and Environmental Medical Association of Canada (OEMAC), the Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine (CBOM), and the Occupational Medical Society of Canada (OMSOC).

Head of Culture and Research

Alison Grenier

Alison Grenier is a senior consultant and Head of Culture & Research for Great Place to Work® Canada. In her 15-year tenure with Great Place to Work Canada, Alison has led over 100 culture consulting projects, spanning multiple industries. These project range in scope and complexity from the simple-yet-effective workplace culture assessment to a multi-million dollar, enterprise-wide culture transformation. Alison is skilled in high-level analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data, and supports some of Canada’s leading organizations with specific and actionable feedback to improve their workplace culture, leveraging GPTW’s unparalleled data library to uncover emerging workplace trends and insights. Prior to joining Great Place to Work, Alison worked in a variety of human resource roles in the manufacturing, not-for-profit and service sectors. Alison holds a Master’s degree in Workplace Learning and Change, and lives in beautiful British Columbia with her husband and four children.

Melissa Egan

Melissa Egan is the Coordinator of Episodic Disability Initiatives at Realize and has worked in the field of health and HIV for over 15 years as an educator and facilitator. Melissa’s experience includes front-line work at YouthCO, a peer-led agency working to reduce the impact of stigma related to HIV and Hep C. She spent eight years as Regional Educator for the Prairies with CATIE, an organization that works to strengthen Canada’s response to HIV and hepatitis C by bridging research and practice. Using her training in curriculum development and adult education, she also helped to created online learning courses about HIV and Hepatitis C Basics and Preventing the Sexual Transmission of HIV, along with webinars on Pregnancy and HIV and The Realities of Young People Living with HIV in Canada. She has worked extensively with marginalized, LGBTQ, and Indigenous people developing and delivering workshops across Canada.
