Course Description

This 3-hour interactive virtual workshop provides hands-on learning and equips participants with the skills and practical tools to recognize barriers to disability inclusion, establish accessible hiring practices, and foster a workplace culture that reduces stigma and supports diverse talent. Build confidence and feel empowered in creating an inclusive, equitable environment for all employees.

Tara Beaton

A seasoned speaker, trainer, and disability management expert, Tara Beaton uses her 25 years of experience in accessibility, vocational rehabilitation, and training to help organizations achieve healthy, productive, and sustainable workplaces. With a focus on supporting human resource practitioners, disability management specialists, managers, and leaders, Tara has provided expert guidance and delivered keynote speeches across Canada on topics including duty to accommodate, return to work, neurodiversity, mental health, and accessible recruitment. She has developed courses for several post-secondary institutions nationwide, and holds a Master of Adult Education degree, Disability Management diploma, and the Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) and Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP) designations. A longtime member and former Board Member of VRA Canada, Tara is dedicated advocate for disability rights and promoting workplace inclusion.
