Course Description

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues into 2021, many workplaces are navigating the sometimes tricky task of creating policies and practices for unprecedented events. At a time when some businesses are continuing to work from home while others are beginning to transition back into the workplace, it is important to know what legal rights you and your employees have. This webinar aims to provide you and your workplace with guidance to keep your employees safe during COVID-19, as well as opening up the opportunity to ask questions to our experts in employment law.

Kelly Williams-Whitt, PhD

Dr. Kelly Williams-Whitt is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Management at the University of Lethbridge and Chair of the Human Resources and Organizational Studies area. Dr. Williams-Whitt teaches courses in occupational health and safety, labour relations, employment law, human resource management and workplace diversity. Her research is published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and she has authored numerous books and book chapters on work disability, and labour and employment law. Dr. Williams-Whitt is also an active arbitrator and mediatior. She holds an appointment with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (Labour Program), sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Occupational Rehabilitation, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the CIRPD.
