Course Description

Neurodivergent individuals have a lot to offer in the workplace, however, they continue to face many barriers to employment and career progression. In this webinar, we will summarize key findings from a mixed-methods research study on

a) what neurodiversity is and how it manifests in the workplace,

b) the barriers that neurodivergent workers face, and

c) how employers can begin to break down these barriers and improve the workplace experience for neurodivergent employees.

Dr. Jane Hutchison

As a member of the Education & Skills team, Jane conducts mixed-methods research on topics related to education, skills needs and training, and workplace inclusion. Jane is currently leading a research project on how employers can better support the employment and career trajectories of neurodivergent Canadians. Jane holds a PhD in psychology and a master’s in public policy from Georgetown University.
