Course Description
Introduction
Welcome to Supporting Employee Well-being Through Strategic Leadership. This course will focus on embedding core leadership practices and skills to maximize the performance and engagement of others.
The transformational leadership and servant leadership theories provide the foundational methodologies for the course. Both theories focus on optimizing performance by dealing with the underlying psychosocial factors that affect team members’ general well-being, such as clear leadership and expectations, organizational culture, psychological support and civility and respect.
This course focuses on equipping leaders with the core skills to lead others, utilizing leadership approaches that seek to optimize performance by creating environments that promote team members’ psychological safety and well-being.
Audience
This program is for managers and leaders seeking to build their capacity in effectively leading others to greater levels of performance, engagement and motivation.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will:
- Have a broadened understanding that leadership can be taught to all levels of an organization and have a positive impact on organizational performance
- Be able to identify leadership behaviours that influence the interplay between leader and individuals to address the needs and growth of employees
