Course Description

This session will discuss how the change in the "online world” has precipitated a new kind of leadership. The implications of the digital era for leadership are critically discussed with real cases used to establish understanding. You will leave the session as a deeply reflective manager in relation to your own leadership style.

Lebene Soga

Dr Lebene Richmond Soga is an Associate Professor of Management Practice and Entrepreneurship at Henley Business School, United Kingdom, and a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. His research explores technology-mediated managerial practices, entrepreneurship ecosystems, and leadership. He regularly presents his research at international conferences for business leaders, academics, and policymakers to progress the understanding of various organizational challenges and the implications of new technologies for management practice. His insights are featured in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Global, and Forbes. He has published in leading academic and practitioner outlets including Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Business Research, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Organizational Research Methods, Small Business Economics, etc. and some of his research outputs have been translated into Polish and Japanese. Dr Soga is also engaging in the classroom where he delivers teaching described by his students as inspirational.
