Course Description
Despite the increasing interest in Psychologically Healthy Workplaces, there has been little work that systematically examines what it means to be a psychologically healthy workplace, and how leaders can foster psychologically healthy workplaces. Given the impact that leaders can have on the well-being of their employees, examining both the direct and indirect mechanisms by which leaders can impact employees and workplaces is integral to understand how to develop such workplaces.
Dr. Arla Day will discuss her work in this area, in terms of the components of a Psychologically Healthy Workplace, as well as the role of leadership development initiatives to help leaders model healthy behaviours and develop respectful workplace relationships.
After watching this webinar, you will learn about:
- the components of a psychologically healthy workplace, including the interplay between health and safety
- the mechanisms by which leaders can influence employee health and develop psychologically healthy workplaces
- the role that respect, trust, and support play in fostering psychologically healthy workplaces
