Course Description
This panel brings together two critical perspectives womens’ heightened risks of burnout. Influenced by socialization that often teaches pioritization of other’s needs and frames self-care as selfish or unattainable, these dynamics compound the emotional and cognitive health components that are too often overlooked by standard burnout strategies.
At the same time, the digital demands of modern work add new layers of complexity. From techno-invasion that fuels caregiver guilt to the impacts of internalized ageism around tech adoption, these pressures further strain balance and resilience.
Together, these presentations take a holistic look at the cultural and technological forces driving burnout, offering strategies to reframe self-care, build digital resilience and reclaim balance for sustainable well-being.
Learning Outcomes
- Identify the cultural, emotional, and cognitive factors that uniquely contribute to burnout in women, alongside the five key technostress creators impacting digital work environments.
- Challenge common self-care myths while recognizing the essential role of sustainable self-care in preventing burnout and supporting well-being.
