Course Description
Dr. Frederieke Schaafsma will discuss the available knowledge on low back pain in relation to the workplace. Based on the available systematic reviews she will present what we have learned so far regarding management of low back pain in relation to the workplace, and promising new ways to handle low back pain.
You will learn:
- Current knowledge about work-related risk factors of low back pain
- Strategies to prevent work-related low back pain
- Strategies to reduce sickness absence due to low back pain related to individual worker or the workplace
- The effectiveness of workplace involvement with or without stakeholder participation in relation to low back pain
- Future directions for research on low back pain in relation to the workplace
