Course Description
The way we think and feel can influence the experience of pain. How does the brain accomplish this? Can we train the brain to do it more effectively? This talk reviews neuroimaging studies examining how thoughts and feelings change pain, and talks about what we can learn from these studies and how we might learn even more.
By viewing this webinar, you will:
- Gain an overview of how the brain regulates pain based on the context in which it occurs
- Learn about what people who cope well do
- Gain insight into how to understand and interpret neuroimaging studies of pain
